Offer for free a paid app?

Hi guys!

I have this paid app and I would like to be able and offer it for free to specific email accounts/users.
I know that by changing it into a free to download app I won't be able to turn it back to the paid version and I don't want to upload a new free version neither as I wouldn't like me app installation number to be split into two apps.

Do you know or would you recommend a way I can make this possible?
Thanks!

Of course I am. I'm the founder of the company. I am looking for a legitimate way to offer my app to specific users for free as part of my marketing campaign.

It's just a little hard to find, but here's the steps...

Log into the Google Play Console
Select your app
Click "User acquisition" and select Promotions
Click the "ADD NEW PROMOTION" button
Accept the agreement and fill out the form
You can create up to 500 promo-codes a quarter that you can email out, post online, or whatever you like.

You could ask for beta-testers for your app. You send them the app and the unlock code and ask for their feedback. That's usually open to anyone willing to try it but I think there's a way to limit who you send it to. Not at all sure if that's how it works though...

There are at least two methods as below for you.
1. You may create some promo codes and then send them to those in order for them to get your app from Play Store for free.
2. You can also add their google ids to your beta testers list of that paid app.

I don't think this is possible. If anyone knows any other method then please do let me know.
regards,
Lewis
