Ok, you guys and gals are over the crazy fascination with the new shiny Note 10+. I see a new phone in my future due to a hardware problem with my Sammy 8+. I'm looking for honest opinions now that the new has worn off a bit. I would enjoy the good as well as the bad things about the Note. I'm weighing my options.
The Note 10+ and the S10+ are both serious replacement options for me. I thank you in advance for your current reviews.

hands down, my note 10+ is THE best screen i have ever seen. i love the full screen with no bezel.

battery life is amazing.....i mean some days are better than others. but overall i can end the day at home with 30% battery life left. i do spend my days playing games and watching youtube videos.

my only gripe right now is the Sirius app has been pretty frustrating after my phone was recently updated. it keeps stopping or looses connection.

the camera notch in the middle is no issue at all for me.

i do not really use the gestures in the s pen, but i do love the smaller feel of the pen.

its a great phone over all.

Thanks. I was counting on you for an updated review. I stream XM daily.... hmmmm
yeah. it is a bit frustrating when i listen to sirius, the audio stops. i have to unlock the phone open the app and sometimes it starts right back up or i have to close the app and relaunch it. it does this every 15 mins or so. hopefully an update will fix the issue. it was not doing this before the phone's recent update.

one thing i do like is the speakers for the phone. it is pretty outstanding.

I'm looking to get an S10+ as my next phone, probably early next year in the UK, especially that new Huaweis are Googleless, like Mate 30. I choose S10+ over Note 10+ for my uses, mainly because it has a headphone jack. I think the S-pen is not something I would need and use. S10+ and Note 10+ use the same processor, so I don't think there's going to be much performance differences.

I have both the S10+ and Note10+ under consideration. They stack up neatly against one another as far as specs. I've never owned a Note and not certain I'd utilize the Spen but it would be fun to find out. I'm not necessarily wanting to upgrade. I love my S8+ and it easily handles my needs. However, within the last month or so my microphone jumps back and forth between sounding crystal clear to muffled and distant sounding during phone conversations. It's frequency is such that it's difficult to carry on a conversation. It has to be a hardware problem. :(

That Sirius problem is serious to me. I agree that it's most likely due to the upgrade and will be addressed in short order. Have you noticed a video stream being dropped as well or is it isolated to the Sirius app? I stream audio all day every day. Mostly Sirius but sometimes I'll stream some Shoutcast. I require an audio stream to keep my sanity. :) I have noticed that my Sirius app has acted differently with every S8 update. Within a couple of weeks it works again as normal. I'm guessing they are always a bit tardy keeping their app 100% compatible. Hopefully they are working on the problem as we talk.

If I didn't have problems typing on a small keyboard and really need the spen for the handwriting I'd probably go with the S series but that pen has been a true blessing for several years now for me. I was happy with my Note8 and am pleased with the 10+ too. These are wonderful phones once you get past the cringe worthy price tag. :D
That said, there was one camera feature in the Note8 that I can't find in the Note 10+. When you pulled up your pictures you could see a few seconds of images from the camera. So you could select the exact perfect shot. Does anyone remember what that was called?

yeah just the sirius app. everything else that streams works just fine. i go back and forth with sirius, play music, youtube, and iheart. sirius is the only one that is having issues. i just had another update this morning. i have not tested whether it fixed sirius or not.....yet

I am not one to have to justify my purchases by trying to convince myself that what I bought is great.
My review of the note 10+ has not changed.

I do not believe it is a huge upgrade over my note 8, but my note 8 had a dead spot that annoyed me and the top of the screen was chipped from a few drops.

The battery on the note 10+ is by far the longest lasting of any phone I've owned.

The size is great, and feels wider with the thick case I'm using, which I like.

I have yet to experience any if the problems many others have with the fingerprint sensor.

The camera takes good pics, however, if you have to zoom the pics come out very cartoonish.
Night shots work well though, better than the note 8.

The s-pen gestures are just a gimmick in my opinion and not really useful unless you take a lot of group pics or selfies, or do PowerPoint presentations from your phone.

The earpiece is at the top of the screen instead of the front like previous phones, so if you're not using the speakerphone or a headset you have to hold the phone lower than usual for the sound.

It took no time to get use to the power button being on the left, and contrary to what I've read from many others, taking screenshots is nowhere near difficult.

So nobody rips anymore. . Did they close all the record shops where you live?
I Feel Your Pain...
huh??????

ok so just an fyi after two updates, so far the sirius app is working normal again.....thank god.

@pool_shark i agree this is by far the best battery life i have ever gotten on any previous phone. and i am a huge mobile gamer and i watch youtube anytime i have some downtime at work..... so for me because of this, the note 10+ way outshines my note 8. there is no comparison.

I can understand that for some, but for me, I"ve never concerned myself with battery life because I charge my phone whenever I want, although with the 10+, I charge it less often.

my impressions of my note 10 plus is the same as if it were new, not months old. I am SICK of upgrading every 5 months.

I really don't like the power button below the volume rocker but I will adjust. Not much choice there. And I agree about the spen gestures. I played with them for a bit but found I didn't have much use for them and they could be more frustrating than useful other than the flick up and down to open and close the spen air options. That I do like. All in all though, I like the phone at least as much as I did my Note 8 which I loved.
