That isn't possible without a PC as you would need to unlock the bootloader first.

were you looking for a one click root solution like kingoroot or something like it? i never trust those and always recommend rooting using a computer.

To save you trying, so-called one-click app only exploit rooting tools will NOT root a Moto E4 that comes with Android 7 or later. You definitely need a PC to do it.
