Help How to set how many rings before call goes to voicemail?

Hi,

My wife's Motorola X4 has developed a problem: After one ring calls go to voicemail. She has not set anything differently herself and I can't find any settings for this on the phone. The phone runs Android 9 with stock Motorola ROM.

I thought this was set through the carrier, but we recently switched carriers from a T-Mobile MVNO to a Sprint one. I was hoping this problem would go away, but she still only gets one ring and voicemail picks up. Any idea what we can do to fix this? Or is it one of those issues that calls for a factory reset?

hmmmm yeah not sure if there is a setting for that. try and see if it happens in safe mode. (moto x4 safe mode)

this will determine if a 3rd party app is the root cause. if it is still happening then i would contact your carrier, or you can try and do a factory reset.

Call her voice mail on her phone and get into her settings for rings

Usually the timeout, or the number of rings before a call is diverted to voicemail is determined by the carrier network. If there's no network settings for it, you'll need to contact your carrier customer service.
