Google photos won't recognize device folder.

I made the mistake of deleting photos that were in Google photos and didn't realize at the time it deleted it off the device too. Luckily I found them in the cloud trash. I reinstated the pics and put them all in a random titled folder on my note 9 photo gallery device. When I go to Google photos the folder isn't there to choose to sync. I've tried moving the photos into folders that already are being synced and they didn't ever upload. If I were to save a new pic into one of the folders that are recognized they show up and sync but these 30 or so pics and videos I accidentally deleted and reinstated are not showing up. If I make another new folder for them and move them Google photos still doesn't recognize the folder. Any help?

i just create albums within google photos. it has its own way of organizing and creating your own folders is not the way to do it. you have to do it thru the app.
