thumb drives not seen

My ZTE Maven3 won't see any of the usb drives that my Samsung tablet sees. Is there a way to change that?

are these thumb drives or external hard drives we are talking about? does your phone connect to the pc and are able to see the phone's storage on your pc?

2 usb otg thumb drives and a usb card reader. The phone connects to the windows pc through the usb port without a problem and I can see the phones storage on the pc.

just checked it with usb otg checker and it isn't compatible. oh well, better luck next time. thanks to all for your replies.
