Hi,
I have just joined & welcome to be here.
I have a Pixie 3 7 inch tablet 8055 model but ive failed at the starting point.
I have cleared the cache etc but when i run the set up wizard my issue is at the point of adding my gmail account.
I enter my details but i keep receiving a message about unable to establish a reliable connection etc.
My email / password is correct.
I am connect to the internet.
The date / time is also correct.

On the same wifi i can sign into Gmail G Drive Play Store etc no problem but trying to do this on the tablet never happens.

Can you advise how i proceed from here.

Have a nice day

You got this tablet?

Alcatel Pixi 3. Introduced March 2015, and running Android 4.4.2 Lollipop, which is ancient. I think that Android version may not be supported by Google any more, and that's why it can't connect. Maybe time to buy a more recent device if you want Google and app support?

I thought I read somewhere that it was KitKat ?

Anyway I managed to connect to a local Wi-fi where it’s worked so I think my 5Ghz isn’t compatible so this table needs 2.4Ghz

The Pixi 3 has Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, 5GHz WiFi is 802.11ac, which this device doesn't have.

Kitkat was the previous ver to Lollipop, so if Google are still supporting Lollipop, it could be its days are numbered?

Looking at Google's Distribution dashboard https://developer.android.com/about/dashboards/, Jellybean accounts for only 3.2% of Android devices. But it's still (for now) usable. I've still got an old phone stuck on Jellybean 4.1.1, which I use at hpme as an internet radio/audio streaming device, and as GPS in the car.
