Help Car stereo to control BT player in 10e

Hello Forum,

In my old SGS5 I could use the BT connection from the car stereo (2013 Toyota Highlander) to chose artist and song and start playing.

Last week I upgraded to SGS10e. BT pairing to the car stereo is fine, and when I use the phone to open a music player and start playing a song it is playing on the car stereo speakers. But there is no choice of artist / song / playback on the car stereo screen. That's of course not the desired mode of operation.

So what's the trick? Is there a specific player app required on the 10e to offer control / display on the car stereo screen via BT? In the SGS5 the plain Samsung stock player did the trick.

it could be the other way around....maybe the car stereo does not recognizes the software very well and thus has issues displaying the info. you might need to upgrade the stereo in order for it to work like you want it.

Hm, well. The car stereo is stock Toyota Highlander. No idea how to do anything about it.

Just wondering if there are folks out there who can confirm a working combo of
SGS10e + <insert_your_player_app_here> + Stock Toyota 2013 BT car stereo ??
