Horrible night photos

Hi guys,
tonight i tried to take some night photos , and made me feel that i was in 2002... An iphone user was next to me and his photos where so bright an clear and mine where in total darkness... I couldnt believe the difference...

Is it actually so bad at night? Or i did something wrong with the settings?

well keep in mind the a40 is a mid range budget phone. it should never be compared to an iphone where there really is no middle ground like the many samsung has to offer.

Yeh, an iPhone is probably about 3-4 times the price of a Samsung A40, and it likely has a much better camera in it.

I know Samsung's top-end flagship devices, Galaxy S and Note series, can give very good results at night.
