Why am I not recieving notifications in the app?? Have to go on the browser and login to see replies to my questions

if you look at the upper right hand corner and click on your avatar icon, you will get a menu popup menu. select alert preferences and select how and what you want to get alerted on this forum.

It switches me to the browser. I only get a prompt to change my profile settings which I hit and it goes to the browser. Is it supposed to do that?

hmmmmm not sure on the app as i use my pc most of the time. also on my phone, i always use chrome. i never really liked using the app, but that is just me. its the same on the browser. just select your avatar and select "alert preferences".
