Root in build.prop file sdk version changed and device not working

are you trying to root the device? or are we talking about development. it is hard to understand what is going on. can you explain in more detail what your situation is?

I'v tweak buildptops on my rooted Note 4 many times over the years. I quickly learned, one mistake will put my phone in a bootloop. If you have TWRP custom recover and a previous backup. Go to advamced wipe, check system, dalvik/ART cache and cache. Then dirty flash your system partition. If all goes well you'll have a work phone.
Im not familiar with your device but on mine , If hypotheticaly, I didn't have a backup. My next choice would be to flash the official fermware. I am aware of mount script .zip that flash buildprops changes but I don't think thats a viable option in your case.
