Is there any threat from app bundle?

The app bundle is just a new upload format generated in order to reduce the size of an app while downloading from Google Play. It includes all your app’s compiled code and resources and serves optimized APKs for each user's device configuration. To learn more about the Android App Bundle, you should be apps developer.
Thus, I think if you download from Google Play Store, don't need to worry about its safety.

I'd say the biggest security threat is to third party app stores as many cannot support app bundle type apk's. This is because the developer doesn't programe the API's into the bundles, Google does.
