MIUI 13.0.4: What is this new icon?

My Xiaomi Mi 11 phone received a system upgrade a few days ago, and now I have a new icon on the lock screen - it looks like a green camera icon, and it disappears after a few seconds (I've tried to attach a screenshot, but it is the first time I post here, so...)

Any ideas what it is for (and how to get rid of it)?

I believe it is for when an app is using or requesting permission to use the camera.
