What's up with this "you" in messaging?

In looking at the left pane in messaging, I keep seeing this "you" when my messages are visible. That's really annoying and was not something in my messaging on my Note 8. I have been searching through the messaging settings to try to turn it off, but so far, nothing Has anyone been able to make this go away?

It is the stock messaging app on the phone. Too much info. in my messages to do a screen shot of it.

Nope that's how it is on my fold 3. Doesn't bother me. It let's me know who said what at a quick glance.
