ZTE QUEST 5 HOW TO REMOVE BACK COVER

i ordered a quest 5 ztez3351s and i cant get to the back battery cover. I need to insert the sim card but cant find a notch and dont want to tear into the phone as the flathead already kind of eats into it. Anyone have a video or photos of theres and how to remove the back cover to insert sim and view battery? Thanks

Seems great it has 16 gb i got it for 19.99 as an upgrade to qlinkwireless phone service. My old zte 818s from mid 2018 was having wifi connection issues i just ordered this one this week in replace of it. The thing about the old zte 818 the qlink one didnt have a sim card or prongs to read one. This one does so maybe could use any service. Has 16gb instead of 8gb so i would have to remove certain apps when i needed to use others and such at times on the 818s. Seems a good phone. Thanks for the help. The 818 lasted about 2 years solid the last year was having problems.

I am tagging on here because you provided that nice link above to help me with the same issue. It all makes sense, and I found the small indentation right at the lower left corner of my phone back. My question is, do I need a special tool to pry the back off? I tried with a screwdriver that was approximately the same size as the slot. I carefully twisted it, but the case failed to pop open. I seemed to have gouged the plastic a little so I abandoned it, hoping I could get more info here. If you can provide a link to (or name of) the tool used, I'd be so, so grateful.

i don't think there is a specific tool to remove the back. the notch on the corner looks like it a coin can fit in and be used to pop the back open.

I have a Quest 5 phone, I looked at the page in the manual specified above, and there IS NO notch on my phone. I need to remove the back to put in the battery and SIM cards, but I CAN"T!

I can't find a notch anywhere and I need to install the battery and SIM card. There is no notch where the buttons are. There is one kinda where the power cord plugs in but I am worried about damaging the port.

I have a new ZTE quest 5 as well. It does not have the notches. What you have to do is work your thumbnails into the split at the bottom of the phone. The split nearest to the screen, and gently pry it apart.

Yeah finally dropped my phone zte quest 5 for the first time and it cracked will now be looking for the rubber 1/8" cases or rubber covers as well as front hard plastic front screen protectors. The Tempered glass or cases that include a layeover clear screen protector still allow the phone to be fully functional touch screen correct?
