Civilization 7 is in development! (Firaxis confirmed)

Firaxis Games has announced that a new Civilization game is in development, although it has not been confirmed whether it will be the seventh game in the mainline series or a spinoff. The announcement coincides with the appointment of former COO Heather Hazen as the new studio head. However, former creative director of the XCOM franchise and Marvel's Midnight Suns Jake Solomon has announced his departure from Firaxis. There are no details on a release date or game mechanics, so the new Civilization game is likely to be years away.

thats one of a few games i have yet to play. i forgot about this game. i might have to take a look and see. or maybe wait and see what this new game will be.
