How make android not disable unused apps

I have noticed some apps that I don't use often change to disabled in the okay store and don't auto update
You have to go into play store click in the app and choose enable and then click update

How do I have it update even apps that are not enabled as you could click in an unused app that was not updated and be missing updates

disabled? i know of no such setting within the phone that disables unused apps. on my z fold 4 i can set the phone to automatically put unused apps to sleep but not disable them. why are you looking at your apps in the PLAY store? and an app that has been disabled needs to be enabled in order to get updates. there is no work around for that.

It does remove permissions from apps that haven't been used for a while. But that wouldn't be anything to do with the Play Store either.

You can turn off the putting unused apps to sleep (it's in battery and device care, or just search settings for "unused").
