I got an email for mid-season NFL Sunday Ticket for $174.00 That's still too high priced, plus it doesn't include Thursday games on Prime. What a rip. There is no doubt in my mind that the NFL will price themselves out of the market.

I think they are paying the NFL something like 10 billion dollars to carry the games exclusively for a few years.
So yes they are trying to recoup their investment at any means.

Google will reportedly pay the NFL between $2 billion and $2.5 billion per year for Sunday Ticket, up from the estimated $1.5 billion that DirecTV had been shelling out.

so here is the thing as long as people buy into the NFL, prices will always going to be sky high. and the NFL has proven to be a cash cow.
