Disappearing sd card

Recently it just stopped showing up in the Moto G Play. I admit it's overstuffed but would that affect this? I can't take it out because it's practically glued in there.

Does the computer see it? If so, back it up, and reformat it. Reformatting it will erase data on it.

I wouldn't know. I have no way to do that. What would happen if I rebooted the phone?

Absolutely try rebooting the phone. And if the SD doesn't mount after that, then it most likely is a problem with the SD itself, like it has failed, or has become corrupted and unreadable.

The trick is having a computer. I guess I could do all that, if only. If I reboot a phone which has almost no memory/storage left, will I lose it all?

no rebooting only wipes temp files. it does not wipe anything else. why would android wipe data on reboot? that would seem, very stupid to do. you should be rebooting the phone at least once or twice a week....especially on phones with low memory and low ram....or at least when things get glitchy.

Also do a clean up of the apps cache.

open "all apps" in file folder and go through each one and delete the cache, then reboot.
