TV box live recording

I have an android 13 TV box running XCTV player and for the life of me cant get it to record live tv.
Permissions are set with full access but I just get a blank screen when trying to play back a set recording.
My previous android 9 box recorded just fine using the same software, and my old tablet running Android 9 and the same software also records fine.
I'm presuming it's down to file settings being tightened up in Android 13, anyone point me in the right direction with this issue?

what app are you using to record live tv? what android tv box do you have?

The app is XCIPTV, the box is X88Pro 13, thanks.

I don't know this XCIPTV app, but it could be it needs updating to be compatible with Android 13. Suggest emailing the devs.

I've e-mailed so waiting for a reply.
As I said earlier though, the old TV box running Android 9 records fine with the same app and so does an old Android 9 tablet.
I'm guessing (maybe wrongly) it's the files access settings from Android 10 onwards that's causing this.

Have you tried updating them both?

Android 13 is up to date and there is no app update if I'm understanding correctly Milo?
