Rant Thread - What really grinds your gears?

Somehow I got a tic nesting on my back for a few days, finally went to the clinic and got some medication right away,
I wonder if what else is crawling on me these day... oh nothing much.

It's been perfect weather around here for ticks. I seem to bring home at least one every time I mow the cabin property. :( I hate them and the sore that they make.

My question is how did it land on the back though, I did not felt anything crawling on my body though. I am guessing it was through my sister's puppy's seat covers in the back of her car.

Sometimes the marker gets pretty dried out, that is why I mostly of the time cap them or unclick my pen..

Do be careful with those tick bites Milo. Grabbed from the net:
Lyme disease is a bacterial infection spread to humans through the bite of infected blacklegged ticks (also known as deer ticks). It's important to be aware of the risks and symptoms, as early diagnosis and treatment are crucial for a full recovery.

Had a lone star tick on me, she is a female one, I think that mom had something different.

Sixth app with my Chrio, we both think my hip is getting plentful wonderful movement and cured, but the oddest thing, my mid back and straight over my upper hip part feels still daggers, my shoulders do as well, I have to apply biofreeze on them as well as my hands, how am I able to sleep though, but on the excellent time though, I do not have to get up from bed and be like an old geezer walk.

Well after my Doc cracked my neck a few times, losen up my tooth one that is barely hanging on to a screw, so I did the slightly dumb thing and put in old gum in my mouth and chewed it, it popped right out, and I put it in a ziplock bag, good thing I am heading to the root canal specialtist soon.

I live on a standard North to South city block. The main road that dissects the addition East to West has been closed for almost two weeks. They have removed the pavement and I'm certain resurfacing is in it's future. Sadly, the addition is hilly and drains to the street that is closed. With the recent rains it barely dries up enough for construction to resume before it rains again. Due to the street closure, our city hired trash service has refused to service my block of houses. They would have to drive down the street and then back all the way out while emptying the dumpsters on the opposite side of the truck lift. (Driver would have to get out of his truck which must not be in his job description) It rained again last night so the trash accumulation and removal cycle continues to be broken.

I spent most of the day trying to mow my river property. I've been mowing it for fifteen years or more and always every other weekend. I was a day late because of the last rain that passed through but I've never seen the grass that tall and thick. I mowed very slowly and had to mow over most all of the grass twice and a few spots three times. It was so tall and so thick and naturally with the rain full of water that it was nearly impossible to mow. All this rain is killing me.

I have worn the same hat to mow for at least 25 years. It is an Aussie Breezer Hat made by the Henschel Co. I see they are still in business. Today I was mowing around a tree that has so much foliage that most all of the low branches are hanging down so low that I can't mow through them. I have to mow around the tree like under an umbrella and then mow around the branches from the outside of the umbrella. There is one rather large branch that even in the spring and fall I have to duck down just a bit to get under it. Today I got under it with my first pass around the tree but ran right into it just above my eyes my second time around. Complete brain fart. It knocked my vintage breezer off my head and for just an instant knocked me out. When I came back to my senses I was backing up and mowing over my beloved hat. It's now about fescue height. :) I have a cheap version of breezer that was made for Cabela's at the cabin so I went down and grabbed it. I'll wear it a week or so and see if I want to buy back the exact hat I mowed.

I just returned from mowing my Tuesday lawns. I only mow four lawns on Tuesday but they are all large. The grass was like I didn't mow last week it was so tall and thick. The current weather conditions is ideal for grass growth but is killing me. It's impossible to do a four day mow cycle but that is what the growth needs. Not only would it be near impossible to stay on such a schedule, talking the customer into it would be one hell of a trick. While the weather is ideal for grass growth, it is all but killing me. As I return my weather station has it at 97° with a feels like temp of 107.2°. I could have sworn it felt more like 107.5°

I ran into a man that new me by name at the grocery store today. I recognized the guy but had no idea from where. My first thought was I had trimmed his house years ago. We exchanged hello and how are you short and sweet and good to see you take care and he was gone. I walked to the end of the isle and suddenly remembered who he was. I back tracked but never saw him again. I mowed for the guy many years ago. He had a large county estate and a line of duplexes in the town South that I mowed. I mowed for him long enough that he added two more boys to the three they already had. He became jobless for some reason and bought a semipro basketball team. He sold off his duplexes and eventually his wife left him and he sold the house. There was so many things I would have liked to have said and asked if I hadn't been so old and numb brained. They were such nice people that ran into bad luck. I have paper records of mowing back through 2006 and it was before that I visited the Mrs. weekly getting paid for my mowing. Getting old bites!

An update on my lack of trash service. I contacted the company that skipped my block due to construction. They answered my email the day after they picked up my trash saying that they never reimburse customers but would make an exception for me.... right. They told me for future service, while my street was closed, I was to pull my dumpster to the street North. Instead, last week, the construction barricades were removed so that the trash truck could go through the intersection South and then the barricades were replaced. I refused to put my dumpster in the street North for someone will run over it. Mysteriously, everyone's trash that was curbed in front of their houses like normal, were emptied again this week.

I was not trying to over hear a conversation in between two gossip type girls at the gym, but it was like "So could you separate the different music selection and it doesn't defy you?" meanwhile I am like in my head "Hey you have a soul right, you have to take care of it throughout music and meditation.."
