My wife categorized our old pictures and put them into plastic containers. Mostly they are grouped by child... we had four. I carried around one of those suitcase size vhs recorders and captured everything the kids did. I told my son once that I planned to transfer them to dvd so the kids could watch them. He looked me in the eye and said "dad, nobody has a dvd player anymore". So much effort for not.

Know what my mother did the dvd thing for the older generation of my Grandparent's and it was worth it, I got to say if you keep a DVD player around, your kids can watch it over and over too. My mother upgraded my photo album, an eight by ten to a monster one that is deep enough to keep in even more memories she photographed.
It is well worth the money and effort too. You can also do a youtube video link for them to keep them forever, I know I did a few of them in my youtube videos.

DVD is a great format, but like CDs the ones we burn are not all that stable. So the DVD is a fine idea (most people I know own a player), but be sure to have a "raw" copy of it on a backup drive or thumb drive or both. Awful example: my wife dug out some CDs a few years ago that her ex had burned which contained virtually the only pictures she had of two beloved dogs; she stored them properly in a dark, cool place, and yet they are sadly unreadable. I was still working then and took them into work and tried them on various systems, including one with LE recovery software on it, all to no avail. :(

That is very sad. This is reason number a billion, I do not have any exes that got so close that they entered my home, because this is the only place I knew.

I've done a lot of wrenching in my day, but never on heavy equipment.

Especially anything this heavy.

I print photos out and store them. I am the unofficial photo curator for my wife's family. Over the 30 years we have been married i collected and stored probably 200-300 photos

Oh I probably have another 8 or 10 thousand saved in Google photos.

I have so many other photos from my Verizon Cloud it is impossible to keep them up.

Yeah the road looks like ice cream sandwiches:

Mental note on here since I am always on here:

birdseed takes a few scoops, raise the metal roof up high in case gets low.
- sometimes fill up the water buckets and take them to the bird bath.

- use the scrub brush on it to wash it.

- switch out the hummingbird feeder about every day.

Just seen these last few nights, Lego Batman and Lego movie part two.
And just saw the ending of lego masters.
I think it is about time to think of something more then lego, besides there is a world out there,

Stepping away from politics and back to random thoughts... the National Debt is such a staggering number that we mortals aren't capable of wrapping our heads around it. Even ONE trillion is just a number, but 36 trillion?

To put it into perspective, if one dollar was one second, 36 trillion seconds ago Earth was 1.14 million years in the past. That was the Pleistocine Epoch, when the earliest humans were recorded to roam the earth with mammoths and sabre-toothed cats. Even one trillion seconds is the equivalent of 31,700 years.

Hey... I have a question guys, I want a simple minualist walking app for my moto, and I am looking for something without floating large date on the top, and able to clean it up, I tried walk droid, it will now count my steps I just did around the house..

I always tip but I'm cheap. 15% for nominal service and 20% for good service. Once in a great fashion I will get the "above and beyond" service that I'll reward with 25%. It's the convenience fee I see on many food bills that appalls me. And I am extremely reluctant to tip a pushy sort of "tip this" recommendation. I've always been a push me and I'll push back sort of guy.
