I've tipped as high as 50% but that was absolutely spectacular service and I gave cash directly to the server. Our default is 20% and it increases, or decreases, from there based on their actual performance and attitude. I try to leave a bare minimum of 10% simply because I know that, at least in my home state of Tennessee, minimum wage for tipped employees is $2.50/hour plus whatever tips they make.

I tip with cash to the server. I don't trust the house from stepping on it and I don't like the tips being spread equally among the servers. I certainly don't want a tax obligation placed on my tip.

I always tip but I'm cheap. 15% for nominal service and 20% for good service. Once in a great fashion I will get the "above and beyond" service that I'll reward with 25%. It's the convenience fee I see on many food bills that appalls me. And I am extremely reluctant to tip a pushy sort of "tip this" recommendation. I've always been a push me and I'll push back sort of guy.
Birds of a feather...

Great minds think alike...

I was at my sister's tonight, but when I got home, I photographed this:

Why am I always hungry though, I know I had duck egg with toast with my sister this morning, but now eating cereal.. hmmm..
I weighed myself, and on the nose is nearly about 230 lbs., I have been doing some more light weight exercise and therapy due to my Chrio's lately too.

Eating is a habit and feeling hungry is mental. Don't beat yourself up over it. We all suffer the same need to eat syndrome. I think it comes from early man that spent most all of their time and efforts trying to nourish their bodies. Try to find something fun to eat.. crunchy or chewy that is low fat and cal for a go to between healthy meals. Many cereals are sugar junk....

It is an extremely healthy cereal without any nessecarly sugar.

I really, really need to be under 200 by this time next week and the scale read 202.4 this morning. Very concerning because I'm on a fairly tight schedule to lose weight by January. I have dramatically reduced sweets, go to the gym several times a week, and increased my protein intake, as that alone will increase my resting metabolism.

Only one doctor told me many year ago, well my mother but he is retired, "Milo should be at 140.." Seriously sounds dangerous.

Watch your carb intake. I know.. near impossible to do but it will drop pounds. If you get desperate... Ketogenic diet will get you there. The Ketogenic Diet: A Detailed Beginner's Guide to Keto
My son dropped near 50 pounds and turned his body into a specimen some years back in a contest that he won... ten grand. Keto diet and hours in the gym.

I lost massive pounds on the Atkins Diet in the late 1990s. Now that's called "keto" - the principle is the same, although it's not a lifetime kind of diet. I tried the same thing a few years later and... nothing. It's as if my body just adapted and was resistant to losing anything. Rather than something that causes a crash loss of weight (with a high risk of regaining it), I'm trying to lose smart and create a healthier lifestyle that involves diet, exercise and good sleep.

I shook off my baby fat when I started chasing the girls. I basically quit eating for a couple of months. It wasn't a healthy way to lose the weight and I was fortunate to never regain that weight. I lost 20 pounds the first month and 60 the second month. I lost down to 144 pounds. I now weigh 152. I will say this, I became very spoiled with my eating. I ate what I wanted, when I wanted, and as much as I wanted all of my adult life. I worked a physical job seven days a week most of my life and I mowed between thirty and forty lawns at nights across the summer. I burned off whatever I consumed. Now that I'm retired and all I do is mow four or five days a week, I think it would be very easy for me to become excessively heavy. I only eat one meal a day but I'm the king of snacks. I'm trying to limit that bad eating habit. Being overweight is unnecessary work for the body. You only get one body so we all should take better care of what we've got.

Yeah my Chrio dude and I where talking about weight management and it is alright to have a cheat day, just not every day.

I don't like to think of "diet" as some kind of crisis weight-loss crunch as much as it is a change of lifestyle. Eating more of the right things, and fewer of the wrong things, may not be the fastest or most exciting way to lose weight... but it can be long-lasting if allowed to become a habit.
