Dog Takes On 11 Coyotes. The farmer was jolted awake by frantic barking deep, relentless. Growls echoed from the field. Something was wrong.
Grabbing his flashlight, he bolted outside. The cold bit at his skin as he sprinted across the pasture, light bouncing with every step. Then he saw it.
His dog—Kodiak—was standing guard. Bleeding. Shaking. But not backing down.
Behind him, the sheep huddled together, untouched.
In front of him—chaos.
Nine coyotes lay motionless on the ground. Two more had scattered into the night.
This still frame, pulled from his security camera, captured that moment.
One dog. Eleven attackers.
Zero sheep harmed.
Kodiak survived. So did the herd.
But that field still tells the story
