Rant Thread - What really grinds your gears?

Wichita, Kansas, is transitioning to a permanent every-other-day lawn watering schedule, effective September 15, 2025. Permanent is a bit intimidating to me. Especially after having a year that has already exceeded the average rainfall by five inches in eight months. I guess the powers to be are thinking long term. They should be considering enlarging the feeding reservoir. It is full to capacity right now. Or perhaps another catch basin. Conservation is all good but I'm satisfied that the city will continue to grow. I don't see restricting water usage being the long term solution.

Those realatives of mine got me into thinking of getting an eye check up, my mother got new glasses so I scheduled it up, I type it down. My mind is so on fire,
I hate it when I had two appointments really quick at the same time, but my audiologist is like in and out in five minutes or less.
Yeah. I kind of miss out on my friends on FB but they migrated to my Instantgram, Ah my tumblr URL I put on my youtube thing, why does it seem much harder to tell google "Hey my cell is pretty much has all the apps it needs, why are you forcing making me download bloatware?"

Today was one of those days that needed toilet paper to wipe away the memory. Besides being extremely wet this morning, my big lawnmower refused to start. It turns over but does not fire. Fuel pump is pumping gas. It is injected and no carb so it's beyond me. It ran fine yesterday. I was afraid to pull the big mower off of the trailer for fear of not being able to get it back onto the trailer to take it to the shop. So I worked hard to get it situated so I could get my 3' Toro mower on the trailer. After I finished mowing I ran to Discount Tire to have new tires put on my mow trailer. They were far too questionable to drive clear in to Wichita tomorrow to take my mower in for a repair. The trailer eats tires like I eat chips and salsa. The wreck last summer sort or replaced my truck but no compensation for the now tire eating trailer. It has worn the inside tread off of both tires that were new before this mow season began. I mowed my lawns today with a three foot cut instead of fifty two inches. It will be the same time consuming chore to mow the lawns until I get my big mower back. I'm guessing two and a half weeks... perhaps three. I'm sure glad I'm having fun!

Have you tried doing an alignment on the axles? I'm sure there is a YouTube video. Do you have a Tractor Supply or Runnings in the area? They sell axles which simply bolt onto the frame of the trailer if one of the axles is bent.

I talked about the problem to the tire dude yesterday. He said there was no fixing the axle but replacements were possible. I will have to check into it once my demand on the trailer is over for the season. The exclamation mark on my bad day was I had a flat on my bike and AF was throwing a 502.
I managed to shower and go to bed without anything negative. :)

I got fixdated at the lunch at a local Mickey D's overlapping that moment when we had lunch in, I could not fall asleep only kitty naps for about three hours from one a.m. , but I think I will be okay Giant Orb.

It took three of us to push that big mower off of the trailer at the repair shop, after the hydro was put into neutral. I was ready for a tow strap and tow vehicle but we managed. The main guy says how in the hell did you get the mower on the trailer. I said I drove it up there and it wouldn't start the next day... sheesh.

Hey it happen again, I had a doggy tick on my chest this afternoon, went to the clinic to get some medication, the doctor said only take a few, but keep an eye on it.
I had my first table about like five p.m. today.

Why would someone posted a vandlism for "boycotting Mickey D's now, is your food worth it, or your life?" I am just wondering if they have that much time to fill it out and then posted on the Drive thru sign, they could get fine.

Apparently, the Post Office doesn't require its carriers to be able to read the English language.

This might be the wettest August for Southern Kansas on record. Rain is in the forecast for tomorrow and Thursday just like we need it. It has been a very wet summer and we are five inches over our yearly rainfall average. It's made my lawn business difficult to say the least. I'm tired of mowing wet spring like grass. I've been mowing it all summer and it's a lot of work. Normally I pay the piper in the spring and then dance the rest of the summer. It's wearing out my equipment as well as me. I guess that's what happens when you have a couple of dry summers in a row. Everyone wishes for rain, it finally comes, and doesn't stop.

You all know about how my chriopratic treatment is, well one of the exersize is pulling back my legs in full 90 Degrees, and hold it for ten seconds, my legs are different sizes, my right leg has been always about two inches taller then my left, my mother's legs are the same, so I end up stretching with my oppoisette foot and leg,
there is only a slight pain in my right side of the hip now these days.
I feel splended but I would love to alter my entire body hahaaa...

I have been leaned on again to DJ my upcoming 55th class reunion. What was once a lot of fun is now a lot of work. The setup and break down and the actual gig is the same. It's me and my old butt that has changed. :) I anticipate this being the last formal reunion so I'll make it happen. I'm blessed to have graduated with such a tight group that has hung together all of these decades.

Yeah I kind of veered off my other class reunion the 25th one, and I do not want to ever talk with them again until I get directions and people, learn to reach out and touch base with me on my social media until then they are d$$$ to me.

I worked on my mower again this morning. The repair on the deck lift failed. Having the time to mess with it, I think I have it fixed this time. The repaired power to the lift had caught in the fan that cools the hydro pump and wound around the fan shaft. Once I finally got it unwound and all of the wire that had the insulation missing cut out, I added a splice about a foot long. I then took wire ties and pulled all of the remaining harness wires that run under the front of the pump fan back and hopefully out of harms way. I can't imagine anyone going to the trouble to route that harness under the front of the pump and think it would never be a problem. I called the salesman that sold me the mower and talked me into the seat mounted switch that has it's wiring poorly done. I didn't reach him but left a message in a non debatable status that it would be repaired at their expense come winter when I can live without the mower for three weeks. I'm betting against any satisfaction but might as well call them out on a BS job.
The above rant was posted June 20th. I had to take my big mower in for a repair because it wouldn't start a couple of weeks ago. They called today and it was repaired. The problem was again the wiring mentioned above. They rerouted the wiring as it should have been ran from the beginning. It wasn't their fault the factory did such a lousy wiring job but it wasn't mine either. They charged me for half their labor and no parts. I bought the mower new about this time of year in 2019. It's not under warranty. :)
