Already Labor Day Weekend

It sure doesn't seem possible that the summer is winding down and this weekend is labor day weekend. So far, I don't have anything special planned for the holiday. Grilled burgers and dogs will probably be the go to for dinners unless I see something special that jumps into my grocery cart. I'm looking forward to just hanging out and relaxing. I'll probably do some bike riding if the weather is decent. I will mow lawns Monday. The grass has no idea it's a holiday.
Do you have anything special planned for the holiday? Any super meals to help celebrate the weekend? If you travel, be safe.
 
going to cook some ribs on saturday and fry some shrimp on sunday. i also have a nice bottle of scotch that i will be popping open and i have a few $20 cigars that i will share amongst my friends.....gonna be a nice weekend.....provided my boys in blue, the Dodgers, can win some games against Arizona.
 
Just yesterday my wife pointed out that Monday is Labor Day. It sure snuck up on us as well. It's been a crazy summer in a lot of ways. I don't actually think we're going to try and do anything...but doubtless my wife will let me know what we're doing at some point! :D
 
In my younger days my fishing buddy and I would spend the entire weekend before Labor Day weekend fishing. Both of us were self employed and would fish before the river and lake was slammed and work through the Labor Day weekend instead. It's going to be a lousy weekend here for the lake rats. Cool and wet seems to be the unwelcomed theme.
