Tablet reset A & A8

I have a couple Samsung Galaxy tabs - An A and an A8 SM-T510 and SM-X200. I would like to reset them to be as if they were never used or set up. I found the factory reset - but it warned that I would have to enter a samsung account login to be able to use the device again. I have an account on my current device, but these were setup with another account, that I don't have the info for. Shouldn't the reset clear all the data so I can use these as if they were new??

It sounds like a case of FRP (factory reset protection) It is there to keep someone from taking your tablet, factory resetting it, and calling it their own. You might search the net for a work-a-round. It is the policy of this site to not be an aid to a possible theft.

oh, what a pita. They are hand me down from my wife, but we lost track of the PW and email for the account she set them up with.

did you perform the reset? you can always look and see what email was used for the account. if you have that then you can try the forgot password and see if you can log in to the account that way. if you have performed the reset and do not know either, than you are pretty much sol.....sorry.

Yeah without your email or anything you are pretty much sol, always write down the passwords in a seperate sheet of document on your p.c.

I always record the PW, etc. Wife, not so much...

I have not reset them. I managed to get into the accounts, and tried to remove them, but the steps seem to end up in a loop. Like sing in to remove the account, but when I do, it wants to re make the account.... it's weird. Anyway, I am going to try using them without resetting for now.
