Is there any way to prevent spam calls from ringing on a Pixel 8?

Is there any way to prevent spam calls from ringing on a Pixel 8? I've fond directions on the web and AI, but none of them work! I can only surmise that the OS has been updated and these configuration instructions no longer apply.

i second youmail. been using it for over a decade now. i would say that it will eliminate 80-90% of spam calls and text messages......so yeah some will get thru, but it is the best that i have found. there are other spam blockers out there feel free to try them, but i really like youmail

I think whenever you did mentioned it to me first, ocnbrze, I download it and I think I have been using it since then the early days here.

I'm on Verizon and their call filter has never let me down.

I do not answer calls from a number not in my directory. I haven't answered an unknown number in over a decade. I don't cut the call short, I just let it ring. I'll give a voice mail a look but rarely is any left. I get maybe two unknown calls a week.

I get maybe a few spam messages and caller that is just strange that it isn't in my contact list.. Even with youmail as well..
