What's the weather like where you are?

It is supposed to warm up some today... finally. After an overnight low of twenty two, it is currently at the freezing mark. Forty seven degrees is the predicted high and I hope it happens. There is a full sky of blue so I'm optimistic. I'm tired of it being frigid cold.

Today is to be the warmest day of this week and the next ten days. A glorious high of fifty degrees is predicted on the eve of a brutal cold front that is bringing snow and a high of five degrees Saturday. It's definitely winter time in Kansas.

Twenty five was the overnight low and it's now thirty eight degrees. It is supposed to reach the high forties today and then it will be in winter mode. Nineteen for a high tomorrow with snow. Eight degrees for a high Saturday with more snow. The remainder of the frigid ten day forecast shows two days in the mid twenties and the rest in the teens.

It warmed up nice today. My station shows the high was 52° this afternoon. I was outside from three until six and must say it was a pretty afternoon. There was little to no wind and lots of sunshine. It's hard to believe it is going to be terrible weather in the near future. A winter storm warning has been issued for my area. Extremely cold weather with six to ten inches of snow accumulation starting tomorrow through mid day Sunday. I recently vented about the lack of snow when it was very cold. I'm anxious to see if I'm right.

The temperature continues to fall as winter takes over. Currently it is 13° with a feel like temp below zero. I'm surprised that they are having school today. It's like the good ol' days when everyone walked to school and the poor girls had to wear dresses.

It's now one PM and the temperature continues to slowly drop. It is currently nine degrees with a feel like temp of minus four. A band of snow sits just to my North and with some luck will stay up there.

It is lightly snowing and the temperature is at six degrees at six PM. Wind chill is in the low negative double digits. My local kids made it home from work. We can relax and enjoy the early onset of cabin fever.

I'm running out of degrees. It's currently 4° which is supposed to be the low. I'm not so sure about that. It is snowing and is to continue to do so through Sunday morning with a predicted accumulation of 6" to 10". I'm not so sure about that either. Rarely is there a substantial snowfall here when it is this cold.

It is three degrees this morning and we escaped the heavy overnight snow. Being just South of the three to eight inch area, two inches fell here. It is to lightly snow all day with an additional inch falling and three to five inches tonight. Below freezing temperatures is forecasted for the next few days so the snow will stick around for a while. I'm glad that I don't need to get out in it.

It warmed up to six degree this afternoon but it's back to four now. Feel like temps are in the negative double digits. I've shoveled the snow off of the front patio and walk twice. It is still snowing and will need shoveled again tomorrow. I'm in the six to nine inch snow area according to the map. It's a very dry snow and if my backpack blower was not put up for the winter it would easily blow the snow off of the hard surfaces.

Cold morning

For those of you in areas impacted by the winter storm unless absolutely necessary stay home, avoid driving, major storms always lead to major accidents and traffic jams and people crying about how they weren't informed a major winter storm was coming even though it had been all over the news for more than a week

After an overnight low of two degrees, it has warmed up to five. The snow has move out of the area with around eight inches total accumulation give or take an inch. I haven't needed to drive anywhere which works just fine for me. My residential street is a mess but I suspect the major avenues have been cleared. They will remain slick with no chance of melting for a few days. One of the perks of being retired is to stay home and remain safe.

It warmed up nicely today. The high was fifteen degrees and it's now nine. The overnight low is to be six degrees and the high tomorrow twenty four. Our snow might melt a little tomorrow. :)

It's four degrees here this morning after an overnight low of two. There is very little wind so far today so the wind chill is in the single negative range. Twenty two is now the predicted high for today with the entire week staying below freezing. Next Monday we are supposed to finally get out of the deep freeze.

It's 43 and sunny today.
The Boss Lady and I have to go out tomorrow morning when it's supposed to be 17.

Spring can't come soon enough.
I'm with you, I'm already over this cold stuff. I remember playing in the cold and snow for hours with only everyday clothing and no gloves. Now I gear up with high tech insulated clothing and heavy duty gloves and freeze in less than ten minutes exposure. It's just a wee bit embarrassing.
