What's the weather like where you are?

It was pretty nice today. The wind wasn't offensive and the temperature topped out in the mid eighties. Currently it is seventy seven degrees and my area is under a severe thunderstorm watch. The radar shows a front moving my direction that will likely cross my path around one am.

Early yesterday morning, it rained 3.47" and another .47" fell early this morning. It seems it's all or nothing. It has been far too dry here to the point grass and plants that weren't receiving irrigation of some sort were struggling. Now it is almost too wet with lakes and pods sitting at max levels and rivers and their tributaries are swelled.

It rained another quarter of an inch this morning. So far, I have logged 8.38" for the month. That's a lot of rain for an area that averages 32 inches. Four and a half inches this week has caused a lot of problems. That's what we get for hoping for rain. It will soon be gone and we'll be hoping for rain again.

I'll lend you some rain Pit. It seems I'm getting more than my fair share lately.
It rained another .34" today to add to the weekly total. As of this evening, 4.79" has fallen this week. It's keeping the temperatures low. Seventy six was today's high with nearly zero wind. Humidity is currently at 90%.

A weather front is dumping rain on the area right now. Over two additional inches has fallen in the last half hour and it's prompting flash flood warnings all over the area. That 4.79 this week is now 7.00 and falling at a 3.94 in/h rate. 11:20pm

It's now an hour later and it's still raining. I'm just shy of four inches since it started yesterday morning. 12:23am The low areas are flooding but I'm safe. I'm off to bed. .75" of rain since midnight.

It continued to rain with 1.97 falling today. Yesterday and today combined, 5.06" fell. That's a lot of rain on a relatively flat terrain. For the week, 9.51" has fallen bringing the monthly total to 13.44". At least the remainder of today and this weekend has a dry forecast... so far.
