Labor Day Weekend 26

I have the weekend off but will mow my lawns like normal Monday. Tomorrow, the wife is cooking a roast in the crock pot for something different. Some potatoes and carrots as well. Though I'd like to be smoking something this weekend, a good pot roast sounds good. We aren't planning on going anywhere or doing anything special. I use to spend the entire holiday fishing. The creeks were always low this time of year and the flatheads were hungry for a black perch. I miss those days but it was a lot of work for a holiday.

Do you have anything planned for the holiday? Something that was almost a ritual over the holiday? Anything special planned for meals? The holiday is the last summer big weekend... what's the itinerary?

We've got absolutely nothing planned, OB.
I think that the Boss Lady might be doing some hotdogs. We just picked up some fresh buns from the grocery.

I might head over to my sister's tonight, it is up in the air since she is working six days a week, poor old thing, working with the shadow overlords..
For such a tiny local bookstore in campus.

We usually go to DW's aunt's for a Labor Day Pool/BBQ. She got a stroke last week, so I'm laboring a full work day for Labor Day.

I mowed my lawns this morning. I skipped one that is too crisp to mow. I then rode my bike 36 miles. I will likely ride some more after dinner. I put together a puppy, kitty playpen that arrived today from Amazon. I watched the Royals lose. Nothing exciting going on at my place.
