What's for dinner ?

We are dinning out with my son and DIL tonight. The eatery will be a new experience for my wife and I. Bonefish Grill is an upscale fish restaurant. I see they have a presence in 27 states with over 150 restaurants. I love fish so I'm sure I'll find something I like there.

Darling Bride is back from her fishin' trip and brought home some crappie and striped bass fillets. She's cooking those tonight for her and former tax deduction son, who is staying for the weekend to support his ol' Dad, who's Master of Ceremonies for our community's Patriot Day Ceremony tomorrow morning. After that, I'll make a small Caprese Salad lunch... and then spaghetti with my epic meat sauce and three-cheese garlic bread for dinner. I suppose MY dinner this evening will be a ham & cheese sammich or a couple of microwave burritos (I don't eat fish).

That was a few nights ago , and yesterday was pork chops with apple sauce, green beans, with a lot of seasoning in it,
yeah my mother been ordering Green Chef, and it is pretty delicious!

The Bonefish Grill was very good. It was a bit price but that's what you would expect with great service and well prepared food in a spotless establishment. We had some bang bang shrimp as an appetizer and then I had their fish and chips. Everything was excellent. I'll eat there again.

Well, dinner was awesome: after my ceremony (which attendees told me was awesome), we came home and I prepared Caprese Salad for the fam. That turned out great, paired with a glass of Pinot Grigio. Now I'm simmering the meat sauce for our spaghetti dinner this evening.

I grilled burgers and baked some french fries for dinner last night. Today, I'm smoking a chuck roast that was on sale. I call the smoked cook a chuckie. It is just seasoned with both coarse salt and pepper. The slow smoked cut of beef is something special. My wife is fixing her creamed cucumber salad to compliment the meat.

My son, a self schooled dietician, always says you need a cheat day or mentally all diets will fail. Design it, plan on it. Look forward to it. Suffer after eating it. Learn from it. He is in your camp with the high protein low carb diet.
