What's the weather like where you are?

IT did sprinkled down here last night for a half hour, my buddy and I just chitchatted for a half hour outside,
it was nice without cellphone distraction, I took a few photos for the rain yesterday.

The rain was over by midnight. The system dropped 3.42 inches of much needed rain before it moved on. Sadly, instead of a slow soaking rain, it dumped it so fast that most of it ran down the hill. It is getting late in the season to save the grass. It is good that it raised the level of all the reservoirs, lakes, and ponds. We desperately needed the rain. I'm not complaining.

It looks like the hot days are having their last gasp. It is to be in the upper nineties until Sunday and then we are to see a string of days in the seventies. There is a chance of rain most every day next week. Currently it is 75°, no wind, and 77% humidity.

It was hot and humid today. It wasn't a record setting day but a lot hotter than the typical mid September day. There is rain in the forecast for Sunday that's followed by cooler weather next week. I think everyone around these parts are more than ready for the change.

It was lightening at midnight when I went to bed. Sure enough, the little system dropped .53" before it moved on. It is cooler this morning and a high of high seventies is the forecast. That's twenty degrees cooler than yesterday's high.. just wow!

It's like 84, right now. Projected high of 90 expected today.
Cooling down nicely, after tomorrow.

After an overnight low of 64°, it is now 68 with a predicted high of 78°. It is party cloudy with no wind to speak of. It is to remain cool for the next couple of days and then warm into the low eighties into the weekend. Next week is predicted to enjoy similar cooler weather.

It was cooler overnight than the night before. Sixty one degrees was the low and it's now sixty three degrees. I am not complaining... I'm bragging. After the stretch of triple digit misery, the sixties is more than welcomed. The forecasted high is in the upper seventies with a single digit North East wind. There is a fifty-fifty chance of needed rain over the weekend.

If there is a 50% chance of rain on Saturday and a 50% chance on Sunday, does that mean I have a 100% chance over the weekend? Asking for a friend :) Today is to be much like the past few days. Partly cloudy and cooler with low winds. A predicted high of 82° today will be enjoyed and the high humidity will be tolerated.

It's actually on the cooler side here today. Current temperature is just 60° with a projection of 64 this afternoon.
Temps return to more normal by the time the weekend rolls in, with temps in the 80's.

I'm liking the change in temperature but the overall cloudiness and rain, not so much.

It is cool today, overcast, and it rained a bit. Only .23" has fallen at my station but all moisture is welcomed. My hourly forecast shows rain all day and into tomorrow. The radar shows that the weak front has passed and rain is over for a while. I predict it will do whatever it does and I'll deal with it. :)

I wish some of the current rain I'm getting could have fallen when the area was in dire need. I'll take whatever whenever though. It rained another .40" over night. This system has dropped 1.15" so far and there may be more coming. Just under two inches has fallen this week. It is currently sixty four degrees with no wind to speak of. The low eighties is predicted for today's high.

Either summer didn't get the memo that it's the end of September; or got the memo, thought it's fake news and came back to "fact check". Needless to say, it will be up to October to put summer in its place... the history book. When the last 90° day is October 2nd, summer has officially worn out its welcome.

It is 1pm and it has warmed up to 71° here. It is overcast and sprinkling off and on. So far to the tune of .03" has fallen. My buddy ten miles to my North has .13" so far.
I managed to mow my lawns and had just stepped into the house when the rain started. It very rarely works out like that. Let it rain....

There is a lot of weather passing through Kansas. So far, it has mostly missed my area. Looking at the radar has me surrounded by rain. A quarter of an inch fell yesterday. There looks to be a great potential for more today. Presently it is 70° with a high in the upper seventies forecasted.

It reached a high of 79° today and dropped .68" of rain. It was a very good rain that was a slow rate soaking in sort of rain. Parts of the state had sever weather and tornadoes. Nothing stormy here, fortunately. The threat of rain and storms continue through the night and all day tomorrow. Radar shows a significant front moving out of Oklahoma that looks to be heading my way. Maybe it will be like today where the majority of the weather missed my area. It's nice to finally get some rain. It is basically too late to have a great effect on my lawns. It is good for the field crops and reservoirs. My local weather had a few counties to the North of me experiencing flood warnings. Kansas is flat. Significant rain in a short span of time creates problems.

Does 97% humidity conjure up a boggy picture? That's what I'm dealing with after an additional .13" of rain fell overnight. It is overcast with rain in the forecast all day today and into the early hours of Friday. Everything is wet, and at 69°, I don't expect it to dry out anytime soon. I have most of my Wednesday mow schedule and all of today's waiting for a dry window that I only hope materializes.

I actually had time to mow my lawns and do a short bicycle ride before the rains started again. Now the area is under a flood warning for low lying and flood prone areas. It has only rained a bit over two inches here and it has been a slow but steady rain. An all at once two inches will definitely cause the flooding that's being warned. I don't see today's rain being a threat. I hope I'm right and they are wrong.
