How To Download From "Unknown Sources" On Android

I want to download Firefox without using google play store. It appears to be available on Mozilla site but Mozilla has to be added to list of allowed unknown apps. But all of the references to that I've found on a search refer to Settings options that are NOT on my Samsung phone. How do I do that? Samsung S23 running Android 16.

You should be able to do this in the settings for whatever browser app you are currently using, there will be a toggle for "Install unknown apps".

There is also the setting in Developer Options for "Allow Unverified Apps", to turn that on you have to select it and wait 24 hours before it becomes effective.

I don't think downloading it from Mozilla would carry any additional risks.

However that said I don't see a link to download it directly, when you select the Android version it gives you a link to the Play store. So I don't think this is possible anyway.

I've gone to the developer options 3 times now. Each time it says to restart the phone and wait 24 hours. I went, last night, and restarted the phone again.
Let's see what happens later tonight.

Mine always pop up with a toggle switch, and I believe that firefox can be easily installed without having too much of a trouble. I miss my firefox...I miss custominazation on it, but that was another time of where.. I had. Freetime.
