Yeah, that's how things break..... out of the blue. Hard to predict. This is why I look for phones that can be charged wirelessly.

the "sudden change" is that your phone is almost 4 years old. most phones have a lifespan of 3-4 years in which you will see things like bad battery, and things falling apart. also your model is a budget friendly phone. do not expect top quality to last very long at that price tier. so yeah...
