I must be missing something. Is there a method for me to delete Gmail messages without actually opening the message? Thanks for your help.

After I assign a contact to a group (favorites, co-workers, family, etc) that contact no longer shows up on the "all" contacts list. This is true except for one of my contacts, who is correctly in All, Co-workers and favorites. Shouldn't the All group have everybody who is a contact including...
