So after using google maps to navigate somewhere today, the small icon on top of the phone saying that the gps is active will not go away or turn off... i don't have any crazy apps and i even tried using task killer to stop maps and also the force close on it from settings... not sure what to...

can anyone help with this? it ported all of my gmail contacts from years and they pop up as suggestions when i try to sms or use other apps that search for contacts...this is incredibly annoying and i really hope i don't have to wipe my phone to fix it. is there any other way?

So i want my gmail synced on my phone...but my list of contacts is huge due to having a gmail account for a long time. the problem i have with this is when i try to sms or use an app that look through contacts a tin of random contacts that i have mailed maybe once int he past pop up as...

so i saw you can enter root files so that you can pick wav files or mp3s as alerts. so i was curious is there a way to set different sounds for different alerts... like sms, email, facebook...etc...all having different sounds for notifications?
