Not sure what's happening, but recently my voice call volume keeps getting set to zero.
About 20 minutes ago I checked and call volume was set to zero again. I raised call volume to maximum, made a call and verified it was still at max.
Then hung up and put the screen to sleep.
Just...
Trying to set up so voicemail will dial, pause, then enter the password on my wife's X2.
Set things up exactly as specified here:

It's for the X, but steps are exactly the same. Ends up...
Can't find a way to turn off the sound that occurs when the X2 is inserted into the multimedia charging dock.
What I've checked so far:
- There is no setting in the stock dock app
- Changing to another dock app didn't suppress the sound
- There is no setting in Settings>Sounds for this...
Wife has GoLauncher Ex on her new DX2, and has a weird problem (I mean aside from the fact that she can't put it down for more than 10 minutes in a row ;-)).
Her primary home screen is full. She wants to add a widget to one of the other screens...so go to the home screen w/lots of empty...
Wife got her DX2 today from Costco ($149, instant $50 rebate) and I've been alone since I did some basic setup and then showed her enough so that she could start customizing things.
If anyone out there will be my friend and talk with me, I'd really appreciate it...really lonely here...
So can the X2 take X ROMs? Wife just got a new X2 and wondering about putting an X Gingerbread ROM on it...possible? Same question about CW Recovery...I'm assuming we'll need updated versions of CWR and ROMs, but hopeful. :)
Netflix streaming on the D2...

[ROM] ZombieStomped 1.6 (.591 D2 GB Motoblur build) - Droid Forum - Verizon Droid & the Motorola Droid Forum
Really nice ROM...based on Gingerbread leaks (newest release of Android OS).
If you're an Exchange email user you'll be particularly happy - the Blur email app in this release has...

OK...so maybe everybody else already knows this (and has been snickering at my oblivious state), but I have had my D2 for weeks and had no idea until tonight...the D2 email client allows searching by sender and subject line!
Finally - at least some semblance of search in exchange email on the...

MDW and TBH present 2.4.0 (R2D2) for the Droid 2
Be the first on your block to run the R2D2 D2 release.
Requires root, requires that you make a freakin' nandroid backup of your current setup before...
There is an issue w/the PIN lock requirement for Exchange accounts on the D2 (and DX as of 2.2 update)...if you have an Exchange email account added, even if the PIN lock requirement is not enforced by your company/server settings, the D2 will still require setting up and using a PIN to unlock...
MDW and TBH present: 2.3.15 for the Droid2
Leaked D2 OTA upgrade in update.zip format, deodexed...no change log or any sort of summary of changes yet.
Do a nandroid backup first, of course.
If you've themed or applied a ROM and want to try this you'll likely want to wipe /System to avoid...
I was having issues w/BT dialing/voice commands working via my BT headset and car BT speaker.
Found this on moto support forum:
1. Unpair the Droid 2 from each device (long press on device in BT list on D2 for option)
2. Turn of BT (I skipped this)
3. Reboot the Droid 2
4. Turn on...
Couldn't find this info...where are OTA files stored on the phone/SD card when they are downloaded?
I have D2 and we may be expecting an update, and I'd like to be able to grab the file after the download.
I know I'm in the D1 forum but I expect the storage location is the same, and all...
I'm having a brain-fade moment.
I can't find the display in Google Maps/Nav that shows MPH as you're driving. I was in the car the other day w/my wife commenting on how accurate her speedometer was (comparing it to my GPS reading) but last night when I was driving home I couldn't find MPH...

This theme is so well done - one of the...

Haven't found a reliable way to launch Clockwork Recovery from power up.
There is supposed to be a sequence involving a battery pull to accommodate the fact that the D2 recovery is bootstrapped, and the original recovery is still there.
Does anyone know the specific steps to launch...
I've been having problems, with both my D1 and warranty replacement D2, with wifi at home.
Everything else I throw at my network connects and stays connected w/out issue.

BBCrackman on My Droid World has released a mostly de-blurred D2 ROM:
Tranquility For The Droid 2
You can also download the Team Black Hat app from the market - you can get the latest Tranquility rom for the droid 2 from the app.
Just wanted to post the happy news that Slayher (who made my favorite D1 CM6 themed ROM) is working on a D2 ROM...vanilla ASOP and CM6 versions.
Very early in the process, but was just happy to hear that someone is giving it a shot. :D
I would really love to try CM6 on my D2.
