I discovered that trying to root any device that had the Kit-Kat OS was a bit more of a challenge to root. I used the program called towelroot and this worked the first time I used it. I have had no problems and I installed Super SU as my superuser app.

I have an unusual problem under about device my phone identity all entries say unknown except for device model and uptime. Does anyone know how to fix this? My device is rooted.
My Samsung Galaxy Rush also just shut off and I can't get it to turn back on. Even the red charging light dosen't work. My phone was rooted so that voided the warranty. Now I have to purchase another phone. Does anyone have any suggestions?
