As stated in the title, I'm asking if it is possible to update to the new firmware and maintain root control. From what I understand, this update fixes a chipset vulnerability that can result in gaining root access, but not necessarily the exploit used by the common '1-click' root software...

This is incredibly frustrating as it causes the keyboard to drop the space after I type "I " without releasing the shift key. I cannot find a setting in the stock rom to change this behavior. Anyone have any suggestions besides changing my typing habit?
