anyone noticed that the volume in the captvate is really low? I have played with the settings however simply can't hear what people are saying unless I'm in a low background noise setting anyone else notice this?

Hi there I have a Rogers Magic I have noticed that the battery life isn't too great.. Anyone have any battery life saving tips? .. I'm working on playing with the brightness etc to see if that makes a difference but does anyone else have other ideas?
