If Samsung hadn't shot themselves in the foot by moving to a non replaceable battery all this debacle would have cost them is a new battery, not a new phone, they're certainly going to pay for their short sightedness. Phil

This is driving me nuts, this icon appeared on my always on display on my Note 7. If I unlock the phone and pull down the quick settings panel there is nothing in it. It's the icon on the bottom below the battery meter. Thanks.

It would seem that the culprit behind the exploding batteries is Samsung's own SDI subsidiary. They produced all the batteries for the Note 7, worldwide, with the exception of the Chinese models which come with batteries produced by the Hong Kong based, Amperex Technology, and are not affected...
