LOL! Yep, this is the issue with the newest update on the Intercept ~2.2.1 If I close the phone [Fold it up], the phone completely shuts off, even after opening it up and pressing the button doesn't do anything. Now the strangest part is if I leave it open [the fold out keyboard] and never...
So I rooted my intercept on 2.2.1 with the one click root program and everything went fine. Now I want to flash it to virgin mobile and put it on the 25 dollar plan. So how do I accomplish this? What do I need to download and how hard is it to do? And will the web and pic message work?

Ever since I installed GO Sms it changed my vibration pattern, and I liked/got used to the original one. There's a "custom" setting to the vibration pattern so I was wondering if anyone knew number patterns to match the original vibration pattern.

Alright. There are a many, many methods for rooting this device. I'm having issues with all of them. Here's what I need:
1) drivers for the Samsung Intercept. (the ones on the samsung site won't work with my cpu, or so the message say that pops up when I try.)
2) either a one-click root...

I'm having an issue when using my Intercept as a Speaker Phone and attempting to access a voice mail system.
If I am on speaker mode, any dial tones entered via the key pad are not recognized by the voice mail system. If I am in regular phone mode they work fine.
Anyone else having this...
I did this on my own Sprint Intercept (w/ 2.2) and it's rooted and working great.

I have a Samsung Intercept, and and app on the Market that has been getting a lot of crash reports. I'm suspecting that the culprit is 2.1 (about 20% of my downloaders), because this app was tested out on a bunch of devices running 2.2 with no errors. I can't get my hands on a device with 2.1 to...
I'm considering switching to Virgin Mobile because of the great value in the $25 plan. Their two Android offerings are the Samsung Intercept and the LG Optimus V (same as the Optimus S). I've heard complaints of lag and freezing, but I'm curious if FroYo will provide a remedy. I'm asking here...

I love my new Samsung Intercept. I doesn't run 100% out the box but after some tweaks and some VM customer service assist it now runs a lot better. I know will run better with the upcoming(?) 2.2 update.
Long story short...
i receive text messages from other Sprint users just fine.
HOWEVER, if anybody else but a Sprint user texts me... their text message pops up as from a friend I texted earlier with the same message he sent me.
I had three different people text me, and it appeared that I got...
I invite friends on Facebook through my lap top and half of them still say FRIEND REQUESTED, but their newsfeed additions show up on my Facebook Android for my Intercept only, but not for my lap top (or tower or any other computer). So I have to basically check both. Why is this happening? Much...
My Samsung Intercept kept going back and forth between the hours of the day. It really didn't start until about 8 or so, but kept going form 8-9 back to 8 then to 9 then back to 8 and so forth. I tried turning it off and back on, but that did nothing.
What should I do?
Wait it out?
