1.5 without Data Plan

Scratch that. Looks like that people with 1.5 are downloading it and installing it. I guess to modify my question, does anyone know if a data plan will be required to re-register after the 1.5 update?

You will need to have data access to get the update ... Either OTA data or from within a wifi environment

I'm pretty sure I've seen in some T-Mo messaging that you have to have a data plan to get the OTA update. How else would they make it available to your phone if you're not registered to receive data on their network?
 
I guess I just wasn't sure if my phone communicates with their servers when it gets wifi access. I'm always on my school / work's wifi, but you don't think that'll be sufficient enough to get the update?
