10.1 note 2012 or 10.1 tab 3

since i cant search for "tab 3" ( really, forum apps still cant search because "3" is too small a search term?? it is almost 2015, jeeesh),
I must ask what must have been asked many times before.

I just want speed. turn my tablet and the screen turns instantly, not 4 seconds later (comment on the new asus memo 10.1!) Load my 20 apps and it won't crawl.

I can probably go out and test a tab 3, but a 2012 note will be hard to find.
I will probably 3bay a note if it is available.

wanna spend around$250 around. both me and my partner have dropped our nexus 7's in the last couple of days ;p

these specs and processors and how does 3 gig ram make a diff with 2 gigs if the cpu is faster....its all just maddening and I cannot do any kind of comparison.

Is there a website with benchmark comparisions that you can select and run tablets against each other?
