Help 10% battery shutdown

My Desire is being a bit problematic recently. I unplug it from the nightly charge at 0630 when i leave for work and its flashing to be charged by 1430.. i turn off the wifi, and mobile roaming as I don't need it when at work. (I get sod all 3g at work, so no point having it on) no satnav.. basic static wallpaper.
but only make a few short calls in the day and a few txts.. I tend to use my mobi as a smart_phone only when I get wifi (ie, not at work) or a good 3g signal ( not at work) so im at a loss as to what is sucking the life from my Droid.. today it flashed 10% remaining battery then went into shut-down.. and wouldn't boot until I got home at 8pm. This is no good to me when I need to be contactable by various people as the wife is preggers and i need to be contactable for other reasons.
Any ideas:mad:
Might consider contacting vodafone to see if they will send me a new battery

Download spare parts and check your partial wake usage.

The shut down at 10% is normal though as it'd not good for LI-on batteries to run dry
