$10 off data package from verizon ?

[Buckeye Boy]

I just saw P3 Droid post on twitter about calling Verizon and ask for Loyalty Dept, and ask for the data package promotion and you will get $10.00 off per line for data.

can anyone verify this?

I just called. It is a valid promotion, but in order to receive it,you need to be on plan of over 1400 minutes a month.

Why dont you take 2 minutes out of your busy life and call them to find out?

Kinda sounds like you answered your own question.

a good question would be how long do you have to keep that 1400 minutes plan lol... could you change your plan to the 1400 minutes and then get the $10 off data per line and then in a month or so change back?

Ok, well what did they say?

a big thank you to the OP! just saved me 50 dollars a month on my family plan!!

I just put pencil to paper and I think that going to this would COST me about $30/month. I'm still on my old Alltel plan plus I get a 10% discount from my employer (which I would lose apparently), so the net result for me would be an increase of about $30/month. Oh well, whatcha gonna do?

Agreed, this plus a droid razr or prime would make for a good Tuesday.
