Yes literally :) It is not launching until that time. PERIOD.

She said "I'm sorry you cannot purchase it in-store before that time thats when it officially launches. You can pre-order it right now if you'd like though."
 
I have to say...this 11:11 on 11/11 is just plain stupid, like absolutely stupid!

And what's with them having Demo units available. If VZW has the phone, just friggin sell it already. These sales and media press tactics are ridiculous IMO.

It's a marketing gimmick and a good one at that. To you it's stupid to me it's great marketing. Sets the device apart from any other Android launch they have done. If this device brand catches on it could become an event every year. It's an Iconic device and deserves the hoopla.

We could be watching the re-birth of a brand. We'll see

Exactly. Verizon should do an unadvertised "cold" launch starting on Monday for people that pre-ordered the phone and for a limited walk-in customers. Then on Friday they have their official launch for the mass market.

In Canada, Rogers are supposed to launch the RAZR and Samsung Galaxy 2 HD LTE tomorrow, but the official major advertising campaigns don't start till later in the week.

They're just demo models. A few people have posted about going to stores to play with them. Can't buy anything yet though.

Psychological mind games. I hate that nonsense. It's bad enough that I gotta deal with it from women, but now my cell service provider is trying to manipulate me, too?!

Here's my question....so yea, alot of us have seen the phone in the store today! But why? Why is the phone even on display? What's the logic?

Honestly, the phone should be on sale right now if its in the stores. What's the point of it being on display...say someone comes in for a Bionic, and sees the Razr demo and says i'll wait till next week? Wouldn't it be better to keep the phone out of site, out of mind until its full release? Vzw makes no sense with how they're handling the Razr's release.

And FYI....you can't even pre-order the phone in the store?
 
So yea....it's a deff go for VZW to be launching the Razr at exactly 11:11am on Nov 11th...Just spoke to my friend who works at vzw and he did his tutorial on the phone this morning, and that is 100% the go time for this phone.

IMO...just utterly stupid and immature!
This is not a video game release, what about the hardcore phone geeks that like to come in when the store opens and avoid any lines to grab a phone.

My guy will put one on hold for me, but I just feel vzw is going in such an un- adult way of releasing this phone.
