Help 11GB SD storage with latest software?

Hi all,

Have had my HTC One X on vodafone for a couple or days and have come across a problem that is bothering me.

It seems that my SD card is only showing 11GB? I have read online of people having this issue with previous versions of the OS that was sorted with upgrades to the latest software, but im under the impression that I am running the latest software?

Does anyone have any advice as to how I can fix this please?

I have attached screenshots of the SD card properties and the version numbers off of the phone if that helps?

Have you the AT&T version of the One X?

This version has 16GB storage.
The shown 11GB are phone storage and accessable.
System storage and apps storage (4GB) are not accessable and also not shown.

Hi c0sie,

Well, you're certainly running the latest software version and you should indeed have 32GB of storage (with approx 26GB user accessible) . What's most concerning is that your screen shot indicates that the total capacity is only approx 11GB.

Have you looked under:

Settings > Storage > Phone Storage

Presumably, that gives the same reading. It also gives the option to erase phone storage which may fix the problem. Failing that, there's the factory reset option.

Phone Storage shows 10.53GB :(

This will wipe the phone clean so will be like it was when you brought it although your updated software version will still same the same. This is done as a final straw and usually fixes the problem. Make sure you back up stuff. :)
 
Factory reset didnt change anything, and with that in mind thanks for mentioning the 16GB model!

I was 100% told over the phone that I was going o be given a 32gb model so ill speak to Phones4U tomorrow and see if I can get a replacement :)
