Root [1st Gen] finally made my mind up

I have rooted and flashed Glazed ICS to my kindle. i do have one question tho. i had a bunch of books on my kindle that i didnt get from the kindle market. where will i find them now to read?

They should still be in your Kindle folder, once you download the Kindle app from the Play Store they should show up like they did previously.
 
The guy who made the glazed ics rom said he won't be updating it much any more. Should I stay with it or switch to another. I have the Hellfire cm9 rom already. What would you guys say?
 
For what it's worth I have been running he'll fire Kindle sandwich since day one and I have zero issues with sound or video.
 
I tried modoco mofoco something like that. I I didn't like it. Tried hell fire and have no issues so no need to change.
 
Yeah, I just switched to hellfire. The benchmarks aren't as high as they were with glazed. But I think I will live lol.
 
I am on the newest glazed mod with intersectravens newest kernel and not on issue I even have higher benchmark scores than any other kindle fire cm9 from thanks to the inclusion of the linaro tool chain. Gederom has linaro but the ram speeds are quite slower on his from. Hype runner has stated that he will continue maintenance updates for bugs though.

How is battery on that kernel? I'm just using the one that came stock with glazed. I get some drain on it. Not terrible but battery life could be better.

Batt life is much improved from previous versions., although I also flashed intersectravens newest kernel over the original glazed kernel. Gave ,me 100 pt. Boost on antutu, quadrant stayed the same
